Pack slips

Cut-and-tuck cards of what you packed — skip list, a write-in line, city and country only. Copy onto I mailed it at home.

Pack slips (More menu, or Mail day) are signed-in cut-and-tuck cards. Each slip has who the envelope is for, city and country, their skip list, and a line for what you packed — never a street. Tuck it under the note. When you get home, copy that line onto I mailed it so they see it on Open mail. Packing notes on the swap thread stay private to you.

A typical pack-slip sitting

  1. Print pack slips. Cut on the dashed line.
  2. Write what you actually packed. Skip their do-not-send list. Default is scent-free.
  3. Tuck the slip in the envelope. No street, tracking number, or password.
  4. At home, copy the same line onto I mailed it (optional, they can see it).
A pack slip is not a mailing label. Don’t show up at a penpal’s house. Don’t put a street on paper you might photograph.
